If you look closely, it appears as though the water edge is serpentine curves...
It's easier than you think;)
You need to save your X3D as AVI. Then in Sqirlz, you will find an AVI OPEN option in the FILE menu.

From reading the postings about the 3D globe, i have yet to find if it is possible to have the globe (ball, sphere...whatever ) have a border around it?
