Re: Bulk optimize images for website

Like haakoo says, XMP does a great job. An other way is Photopea, an online Bitmap-Editor. It's free. https://www.photopea.com/

Re: Making Sense of Xara Plus

First of all, Iíve never liked Magix. Thatís also because of what they did with the then distributed Amiga software.

I switched to Pro+ quite early and still donít regret it. Xara is one of many...

Re: Illustration for a Newspaper Banner

Well done Garry! I like the idea to the rotating themes. We did something like this in the early 1980s, not with a glyph but a logo, filled with textures for every month.

    Re: ArtRage...

Here is an other drawing I does in ArtRage. After I thought better it will be as a vector drawing,
but lazy as I am I vectorize it in Inkscape. It's faster then redraw it in Xara.

  23. Re: Best method to export a file for precise Adobe Illustrator compatibility?

But again, this is the wrong way. Xara writes perfekt PDF/x1-a files for printing. There is no need to do it again in AI.
If you have a client with his own color for his bussines it is wrong to do...
  24. Re: Best method to export a file for precise Adobe Illustrator compatibility?

That is not true! X1-X3 flatten all transparencies to bitmap!
PDF/X4 leave the transparecies as objects and don't flatten it to bitmap, but only if the effekt is reproducible in AI and/or fits in...

If You need laser cutting is .ai and/or .xar not the right format. Obviously they will need .dwg or an other one-line CAD compatible format.

An other option can be .svg, but attention with the...
