I don't know how to insert multiple navbars in a website in front page.

I want to incorporate a common vertical navbar on all pages on my site, however, I also want to include horizontal navbars...

My menus work fine, however, the submenus get hidden under a Frontlook Presentation Applet. How do I get them to be above or do I need to move applet out of range of these submenus?
