    Re: Export problems

I believe it is probably due to the colour management in both programs not being set to the same profile. Or the Default set up being strange in Photo-Paint.

Here's some guide for you to change...

    Re: Making A Circle?

Yes it is (it is in IX, X and the new version 11). If you see the square instead of the circle, left mouse click and hold till you get the fly out to select the circle. Just clicking on the little...

Re: Cmyk/rgb color in painter ix.5

Painter IX does not work in CMYK. It can only export to CMYK in .psd (photoshop) format (which will change any out of gamut colours) but it will NOT read the colour format properly if you try and...

    Re: Saving in Photoshop bugs?

I did have a similar thing (not exactly half the size tho). When choosing 'New' doc in Painter by mistake I'd changed the Resolution from pixels per inch, to pixels per CM. Don't know if that's...
  7. Re: Painter X - Why are the brushes working so slowly?

Have you got the 'Enhanced Brush Ghost' turned off? See Preferences/General. Having it turned on really slows down the brushes.
  8. Re: HELP: Rotation of 6D art pen ends with canvas contact?

Yup... Painter seems fussy about the Wacom drivers (even the newest version 11, supposedly ok with vista).... my first resource, when things go screwy with the Pen is to either reset the Wacom...

Re: Color problem - what u see is NOT what u get

Odd. Er, might be a stupid question, but did you remember to do a final save of the .riff file (after painting the tone) before saving the jpeg?

    Otherwise I have no idea.

Re: Painter X brush latency !

It's supposed to help you see the angle of the brush etc... frankly everyone turns it off because it's a resource hog and you don't need it.

Re: Corel Painter IX Script Error

Have you tried holding down the shift key as Painter starts up to reset Painter to its defaults? Painters start window connects to IE to update the images on the splash page - which may be why it's...

In the Toolbox palette at the bottom right you'll see the Nozzle Selector box. Click on it, then click on the small arrow on the top right of the flyout box. Select Load Nozzle to add one.

    Re: AVI into Painter problems

You do need to check that your codec for playing .AVI formats is up-to-date.

I tested it out on my PC (XP).

First I tried to open an .AVI file. I got the same error code "No decompressor...
  21. Re: New to Corel Painter X - Two questions - History menu & Brush realism

Re: Is learning art with Painter a crutch?

It would only be a crutch if all you did is paint directly over a photo. Or trace a photo directly (ie... draw over the top of it).

To start this way would be a crutch.

    However if what...
