It was quicker to do this than to do a detailed tutorial on what are two fairly basic operations combined into one artistic feature

create a top-rounded rectangle
place your jpg over the top
select both
press Q
adjust position of jpg to suit

drilled - that is a new one on me

select your rounded rectangle
convert to editable shapes
select the 2 lowermost points with the shape editor
delete those points
voilà


options > units > page > pixels

You can add transparency to any bitmap image whilst you are in Xara. But when you export it as a JPG the transparency is lost because JPG does not support transparency. However, PNG...
