I can't repeat this bug, but I continue testing. Files was saved from images.google.com, preview images, with *.jpeg extension. In other application all ok.

When I'm try open import window. Show preview is on. Previewed image jpeg 4kb.

No, I don't have hi-res originals, most of them not more 800x600.
How long? More than 20 howrs on each picture...
