Butt Cap vs Square Cap Lines

I can see that nodes of a line are in different places when comparing square caps (indented from the ends) and butt caps (on the ends), but in what situation would I need one over the other?

    I...
  3. Re: Exporting to SVG without exporting the page?

The option to just export a single object to SVG wasn't introduced until v16.1 or .2, I forget which. X9 won't do it I'm sorry to tell you.

Re: How to find templates I saved on my laptop

Dave, if you read Acorn's post and then hop over to your other thread https://www.talkgraphics.com/showthread.php?82406-Property-listing-design-software you will see that I too went down the same...

    Re: Property listing design/software

Can't help you with software, but you can most definitely create a separate site and have the two run seamlessly together.

This is the structure of how I did it with 3 separate sites:

Re: How to find templates I saved on my laptop

Acorn, if you move the default location and then download additional content won't Xara dump it into the default location anyway?

I know this doesn't apply to Dave as he doesn't have access to the...

Re: How to find templates I saved on my laptop

Hmmm. You may want wait for confirmation, but I see know reason why you can't just create the folder designs in cache, and then drop the eng file in there.

Re: How to find templates I saved on my laptop

It's very similar to retrieving the fold, just a slightly different location:

Open Windows Explorer and expand 'This PC'
    Click C: drive
On the Ribbon (top menu bar) click 'View' > 'Hidden Items'...

Re: How to find templates I saved on my laptop

Are you sure you found your old folder and not the new one? It would have to be in your 'Windows.old' folder. Acorn's answer points to where you need to put it, not retrieve it.

    I think you have...

Yes it does, 28 days to be precise.

Open Windows Explorer and expand 'This PC'

Open Windows.old and drill into Users >...

I'll bet Rik wishes he never dug this one up now. Some things are best left in the closet.

He'll probably have a bone to pick with us for making bad puns...but that remains to be seen.

That is excellent. I see the shape as a heart (love the suit), or a diamond (expensive/classy suit).

Very well done, sir. My hat is most definitely doffed.

I didn't, It's a workaround. I created separate pages for the players and uploaded them independently, then simply used an iframe. The desktop is using the kosher players, the mobile site the iframes.
