You may be in the same boat as I, not all 'post script' printers are capable of changing the LPI. I have an Epson 3000-CPS and have access to all the settings in the print menu to change halftones...

If you have a similar commercial font to the one you have created that has the kerning tables then all you need to do is save the commercial font to the name that you want for your new font....
