Well, I ended up just putting the main files all in the same directory, but I'm gonna make a REALLY simple page and test this. I don't know why it's not working. /infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif Do these all have to be on a server somewhere to work like this? See, my site isn't actually up yet, I'm just trying to browse around it on my computer. the...
I feel dumb cause I can't get this to work. Here's what I have. The main folder is "fodosite". Inside that folder, I have "allreviews" (folder). I want to link from the page "adawarereview.htm"...
I think I understand. Thanks a lot Wolfgang.
I'll be back if I can't get it to work. /infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Ok, ya know how to organize files in a web site directory, you put images in an "image" directory for example, and the html tags are something like <img src="images/pic.gif"> or something like this. ...

Ok, when I export my images to .gif's, they somehow turn their originally black background into a slightly lighter one. Why is this, and how can I fix it?
thanks.

I'm sure I should know how to do this, but I can't seem to find it. How can I get a hexidecimal color in Photoshop? All I can get colors from is the windows color panel and the 16 million color...

Can't you just look at the files in details view? That would tell you file sizes for all the individual files and then, if you select more than one, the file size should come up on the left or...

When doing a chrome effect, a reflection map is used to make the reflection realistic. Is is possible to make these or get more maps? /infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

Thanks. I thought the .xar looked kinda funny for Photoshop, because I've looked at them before, and didn't think that was extension. Anyhow, thanks much.

Ok then, that looks good. So, how easy is it to make a brush? Can I just make an image, and save it as a ".xar"(I think that's right) file?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the great help! I'll try that out, and do some experimenting. It seems that it will open up SO much potential to be able to use the brushes instead of just lines and the sort. : )...
I just discovered the "brushes" forum here (feeling dumb because it took this long to notice), and it made me wonder when I saw the recently posted "cable brushes"; is there a way to keep the paint...
I'd like to see what kind of monitors and different resolutions you are all using out there. I'm using KDS 19" with 1280x1024. How about you?

What is the reason for so few people using higher resolutions? I'm sure a healthy percentage is because they don't even know how (my dad), I would think it would be more than 3% for 1280x1024. What...
If you want tutorials, they're all over the place. Most of the ones I refer to are here at talkgraphics.com, eyeball-design.com, spoono.com, and sometimes at photoshop-cafe.com. They pretty much...
