I think what you are doing is the best, and the safest way.

If you have modified a photo, you can click Arrange > Flatten Photo Group. This creates a single bitmap and adds all the changes.

Click the small down facing triangle next to Date Modified (see my screen shot above).

Since my primary use of Pro+ is for making stereograms, I will frequently leave a blank custom template, 6 pages with filled rectangles and various objects I used all the time, open for the next day....

Hmm? Boy. The stereogram is basically two stereograms but each using the same depth image. The while outlines give the hidden image more precise detail.

When the cursor shows a + it indicates you are close to the start point and if you add your line to the start point you will have a closed shape.

I have never had the entire line...

I have done dozens of Yin & yangs over the years. This is one of my favorites.

What version of Xara are you using? Your profile says XaraXtreme 5.

The contents of the Online Content Catalog are only available with a current subscription. I know Xara calls it a service something or other, but basically it is a subscription.

Yes. It is the Page & Layer Gallery. Pages and Layers can also be repositioned by dragging and dropping the title bars.
