Wow, that seems to be a simple solution, and if you weren't told you wouldn't really know how it was done from looking at the page.
Nice site(s) BTW
Thanks to everybody for all of the suggestions and advice. I think that as I do not need to do this very often, I should probably go with angelize's solution, much cheaper too :)
This must be the shiniest thread on talk graphics ;))
Congrats to everybody =D>
And a big thanks to you all for sharing your techniques :D
Actually, Corel Xara which I bought in 1995, had some very impressive bitmap handling features for a vector program back in those days. Anybody else remember the demo of the girl being given cats...
Not sure which one I prefer to be honest, but they are all really elegant drops, very classy.
Very nice, and yes I must agree that the drawing tool works so much better now. I often find myself drawing with the mouse instead of reaching for the tablet. Love the colours you have used.

Problem is...
Those are great sketches. Just wondering, what graphic tablet are you using to do those?
That is really very nice. I am still struggling with the line shapes in Xara.
I think that I have been spoiled with Expression's customisable skeletal strokes and adjustable line width profiles....
WOW, that is fantastic. You must have a lot of patience as well as your obvious skills.
Something that I started years ago but never got around to finishing. I found it the other day while cleaning out the archives, and decided to get some practice with my new XDP6.
There is a...
Does anybody know if Corel Knockout 2 is as good as that masking tool in CS5?, and also if the plugin would work in Xara. It is a lot cheaper than Photoshop.
Alan
Oh right, thanks :)
Just wondering, as the licence key allows for three installs and I've already done one. Will this count as another install?

Or you could create rays with a custom brush. I think this would be faster to redraw
