nevermind on my last note.
I just noticed that the files I modified today did not make it to the destination. I'm using the same transfer settings that I've always used and everything looks the same as usual on the XARA page.l
When I try to save a new file, the only "save as type" options that it shows is *.web
Without realizing what it meant, I allowed the program to change all the files to .web from .com. How do I undo that. I'm using a 2017 version of Web Designer Premium
What screen widths are everybody using for desktop and mobile pages these days.
Yes, that is what I mean.
Is there anyway to tell WD 16 to publish a single page instead of all changed pages in a site?
Currently, it's working correctly (publishing to DD/public_html) without specifying "public_html" for sub folder.
Another UPDATE: it appears that MY VERSION of WD 16 assumes "DividendDetective.com/public_html" when I set "DividendDetective.com" as my FTP address. So, in WD 16, I don't add the "/public_html"...
No- not okay - WD 16 is still publishing to the public_html/public_html sub directory that it creates if not already there.
I'm telling it to publish to public_html. NOT TO...
UPDATE: I deleted the sub-directory public_html. Then I used WD 16 to publish a test page and it put the public_html back and then published to that sub-directory.
WD 12 still publishes where...
my only url is https://dividenddetective.com
Until I started using WD 16, everything was in public_html, and there was no subdirectory named public_html. When I use WD 12, everything still goes...
That picture is actually showing the public_html subdirectory of the public_html segment of my website.

Here is a picture from the WD 16 explore web space function (I hope I've done this right?)
I found the files: In my public_html section, there is another sub directory also called public_html, and that's where the WD 16 files are going. So, now I just have to figure out what I'm doing to...
I tried setting "run as administrator" but that didn't change anything. I am publishing to the public_html section of my website, the same as I have been doing, and continue to do using WD 12. I'm...
I've been using WD Pro 12.62. I just downloaded a trial version of 16.1.0. When I tell v16 to publish, it looks like it's publishing, but the published file never appears at the destination. Is that...
If you're referring to Google's URL Inspection function, I've found when I run the inspection, it gives you a "not mobile friendly" answer. Then if you View the page inspected you see the desktop...
It was definitely the particular version of Chrome that was running on my desktop. I'd hate to tell you how many hours I've wasted chasing what I thought was a Xara problem that turned out to be a...
Works fine for me too when I test it on my laptop, so it must be something with my Chrome browser???
I built a new page by duplicating an old one and replacing the old contents with new stuff. Everything works fine when I test the page using the Preview function and then call up Chrome from the Xara...
I have a web page that I have been using for a long time and looks fine on the designer page display, but displayed as all blank when using the "preview current page" mode or when viewed in a...
I found that the problem was related to one webpage. I solved it by deleting that page and replacing it with a new, but very similar version.
Ok. got it, thanks
Changing to "run as Administrator" didn't help. Also, even though I tell it to only update changed files, it does a bunch of processing anyhow and appears to be uploading unchanged files. E.g. I just...
