I asked because I've never heard of it, nor could I find anything online about it - reviews etc. I'm suspicious always of any download from an unknown and possibly dangerous source. The bad guys...

I'd say my advice was very much to the point. If you have a better solution, I'd be happy to hear and it I'm sure the OP would too.

Indeed, but that's not the 'quest' here.

Get a larger resolution version, or choose another image with better resolution.

Don't waste time doing anything else.
