  1. Re: CORONA VIRUS BOREDOM... and ESCAPE FROM THE GRIND

I think that's rich - you Americans can't even pronounce aluminium correctly. Where do those letters go when an American says it?

    ;-)
  2. Re: CORONA VIRUS BOREDOM... and ESCAPE FROM THE GRIND

Made me smile - thank you.

No music, but maybe that's a good thing... ;-)

Spelling mistake though - you left a "u" out on the first word. No need to change it, 331 million americans won't...
  3. Re: Interesting things to know and Bravo to the Spanish and Italians.

Egg you have every reason to be proud of your family working for the NHS, we all are very proud of them.

In the past my wife was seriously ill, spent five months in hospital, and if we worked...

Re: Thank you Xara - Xara Cloud Offer

Great to see some Xara positivity.
  5. Re: Interesting things to know and Bravo to the Spanish and Italians.

The virus progresses in the UK and after visiting the pharmacy yesterday, and seeing how people are behaving, made me see a united UK unlike the one we've seen in recent years. Everyone queuing...

Re: Might As Well Put Up Some Other Mock-Ups Using New Logo

OK, first of all - the business cards.

I like the logo, but don't like the cards - too much small text. Older people will be reading them.

    The brochures.

Not much of a fan of those, but I...

    Re: Gordon Lightfoot

It reminded me of ASCII art at first.

Immediately I can hear "In the early morning rain, with a .."

OK, so a little digression or is that what the OP was on about originally?

Re: Is this even possible with xara software

What's the fascination with the image? Isn't this thread about the background floaty bits?

    Re: Feeling disappointed and deceived

Value is one thing, the real issue about this purchase is clarity.

If you are unhappy and haven't registered the software you should be able to get a refund if your country has distance selling...

    Re: Learning Platform in Xara

There's nothing that Xara offers that would make it suitable for a LMS. It's a static website builder.

    I would forget this idea.

Re: So What Do You Think About This New Logo?

Quite impressed by that - good response to the brief.

I'd be a bit concerned that smaller sizes it may have problems because of the fine detail.

Re: Is this even possible with xara software

The site would be better without the background animation.

Be comforted, because however bad you may be, you are many times better than me, even on a good day. There are times when I struggle to putt the ball past the windmill.

LOL, not at all. Just a bit of dry humour.

The joke passed me by. Many times.. ..I'm not a golfer.

  19. Re: Simple CMS - GREAT new tool I found that works with Xara

For Xara users I think that's the best approach. The problem with users updating their website is that

    - they inevitably don't understand what that involves
    - they will come to you for free...

I expect a similar offer may arrive at some time in the future - most likely when the next major update arrives.

    Re: Cafe - looking out

    Ah, I thought, nice sketch, then I realised it's a filter - that's a disappointment.

What is the attraction of these filters?
  25. Re: Web Designing with Xara Designer Pro 17 (Anyone download version 17)

Well, it's not just my view, expert or otherwise.

The whole point about responsive design is that the layout changes as the available space changes (ie a fluid layout) - specifically the width....
