  1. Re: What small workflow improvements would you like to see in the future?

for example the use of IE as core component in an intranet, aint necessarily that simple to switch
  2. Re: What small workflow improvements would you like to see in the future?

maybe first all the big corporate IE users resisting change and the cost and effort and hassle involved will need to switch
  3. Re: What small workflow improvements would you like to see in the future?

I hope you know how to use one, it's not quite as simple as they made it look in The Curse of the Were-Rabbit - make sure you have that anti-tetanus jab, just in case ;))
  4. Re: What small workflow improvements would you like to see in the future?

so it was :p:p forgive me, but at least we are on the same page :D
  5. Re: What small workflow improvements would you like to see in the future?

  6. Re: What small workflow improvements would you like to see in the future?

alt key already in use [for selection] - but a customisable key would be useful
    +1
  7. Re: What small workflow improvements would you like to see in the future?

    thanks Rob
  8. Re: What small workflow improvements would you like to see in the future?

have the bitmap copy resolution persist for the session in the same way it does for export

[actually I'd like an option to set a permanent default in both cases but that might be asking too...
  9. Re: What small workflow improvements would you like to see in the future?

multipage document zoom out to view pages - the page listed on the status bar is always the one that is uppermost whilst being completely visable, not the page that is active should that be...
  10. Re: What small workflow improvements would you like to see in the future?

as long as I can define colour in xara by H[deg] S[%] V[%] I am happy - it is an artistic thing really, a different way of defining the same colour that is more intuitive
  11. Re: What small workflow improvements would you like to see in the future?

ok I see what you are saying there for CMYK and agree it sounds like it is a pain

what I was responding to was:

as long as that does not mean losing the ability enter and work with % values in...
  12. Re: What small workflow improvements would you like to see in the future?

makes sense, but useful to keep both for hsv
  13. Re: What small workflow improvements would you like to see in the future?

anyone remember the fuss there was when that was changed from spacebar [so latter could be used for push a la adobe et al]

any chance we could get rid of double click switches tool [as an option...
  14. Re: What small workflow improvements would you like to see in the future?

yes, animators would call it a light box [sometimes it might be referred to as onion skin, but an onion skin is actually frame to frame not down the drawing stack]

    been asked for before

    ......
  15. Re: What small workflow improvements would you like to see in the future?

oh yes - that would make the edit inside actually so much more useful - why are we expected to work 'out of context' ?

ditto clipview - would it not be so much more useful if you could see how it...
  16. Re: What small workflow improvements would you like to see in the future?

bitmap tracing works best, in xara, without alpha [makes little or no difference in inkscape/illy]
  17. Re: What small workflow improvements would you like to see in the future?

looks good - crude is in the eye of the beholder if it works, which I am sure it does - would need two versions, one for TC and one for TC+ALPHA, assuming you can tab through [resolution I could fix...
  18. Re: What small workflow improvements would you like to see in the future?

ok - it probably dosn't, but goes automatically through keystrokes... I'll look at that, thanks again....
  19. Re: What small workflow improvements would you like to see in the future?

    Hi Marc

interesting, thanks :) - how does that avoid the dialog box opening...?
  20. Re: What small workflow improvements would you like to see in the future?

that opens the dialog box Rob.. the idea is that you could just use [pre-defined] default settings without the dialog box, in the way that the Export JPEG, Export PNG in the file menu do... with the...
  21. Re: What small workflow improvements would you like to see in the future?

sorry, but that does not 'fix' the bitmap

lets say you have an intersected bitmap [ctrl+3] - you want a bitmap trace for example, the tracer will operate on the un-intersected bitmap original,...
  22. Re: What small workflow improvements would you like to see in the future?

wheras xara's non-destructive bitmap editing is all well and good, many times it is necessary to 'fix' a bitmap first by making a bitmap copy [eg in order to trace] - a one-click internal copy...
