Anyway to stop XWDP from naming my original photo names to numbers when I export the website? I know about the imagefile=imagename but can't we stop it without having to take that route?
All my named photos are changed to numbers and I have to take an extra step to rename
Janix, there is no direct Xara route (at present: https://www.talkgraphics.com/showthr...447#post558447). I assume you are stating the use of the special Name filename="image_file_name" construct? This is a time and space saver for Repeat on all pages images and other duplicates.
When faced with this I have gone to the extreme of setting up blank box Placeholders with Body codethought I usually load the image files separately into a an images folder in the same domain and work from that.Quote:

I have even added the image_file_name.png/image_file_name.jpg into the Image ALT.

Thanks Acorn, that link helped. I would have thought by now it would have been fixed.
It's not a case of a fix, rather it was a design decision as at the time CSS could not accommodate 2D transforms as easily as not so all graphics had to be treated as different to the original. The one change that might help is an image placed on the design page, with alteration other than scaling could reasonably be expected to retain its original name. Being Acorn, of course I would expect much more.Quote:

Yes I agree. For me using either "placeholder" or "names" is a tedious process when dealing with many images. I guess at this point I will finish my business website and publish it. I'll return later if I decide to stick with this software to do some house cleaning.
