IONOS hosting - phishing emails
Hi,
For anyone out there using IONOS hosting, just a heads-up to say I've had two phishing emails pretending to be from IONOS this morning. Thought you might like the warning. It may be that other providers are being targeted too.
Always check the links in unexpected emails before clicking on them. The email looks vaguely plausible but the links in it have nothing to do with IONOS.

Also check the sender's email address.

That's good advice, but even so be very careful. In this case they used a from address that would fool many people: "1&1 IONOS Customer Service <support@ionos.cloud>"
Re: IONOS hosting - phishing emails
Yes, and spam/scammers can fake an email address as well. On many fake phishing emails the email looks convincing and most of the links are the actual links. But the link to the button or link that says go here to confirm your account details is always the giveaway.
Whenever I am in doubt about an email like the one you are describing, I go to the actual website and log in from there. Link in email should always be suspect.

The best advice.
