Fun with Triangles - S90S
This is a Challenge for you to produce a triangle where two sides are known/given and they are joined at right angles (90°).
If you could make a triangle with base 318px and a height of 412px, it will be easier to compare answers.
Your construction should include your approach and should not involve any calculation, using as few Xara functional steps as possible.

Re: Fun with Triangles - S90S
I must be missing something here ... why isn't that as simple as setting the figures in the INFOBAR ... I'm not sure what you want us to do. Can you elaborate, please?

Keith, what are you starting with? If it is a triangle, how did you make it?

My main premise is starting with a rectangle sized as required and remove the top right corner node.

Bingo! In one.
- Create a Red rectangle base 318px, height 412px.
- Convert to Editable Shapes.
- Delete the top right control point.
Treat this as a warm-up exercise.

I suppose this is considered cheating

Gary, nothing wrong with the approach. You should have mentioned you are using Slice Shapes for those who might not be familiar. Keith's approach is tidier as it operates on the one object to create the end triangle. You, though, do get two for the price of an extra line!

This was far to easy Acorn. Reading this thread I see Keith and I had the same idea. I wasn't cheating because I use that trick a lot.

OK Larry, that sounds like a challenge for another Challenge.
