Off Topic: Screen Recorder

Mods - please remove if not suitable.

Can someone recommend a simple, free screen video recording software?

I tried FreeCam and ScreenRec but both caused a BSOD error: APC INDEX MISMATCH

there is on built in to the current version[s] of windows 10, via the game bar

there are some limitations

This works for me: https://icecreamapps.com/Screen-Recorder/. You need the PRO version for MP4.

Thanks Initio Star - will try

well that rules out any other free recorders I could recommend from personal use

be aware if you intend capturing video that you may need to adjust your computer harware acceleration settings and that as a result, there may be some variation in quaitly and audio sync
