Right click one of the blanks and choose 'Properties'
Click 'Change'
Choose 'Designer Pro X17' from the list
You may have to click 'More Apps' and scroll to the bottom to click 'Look For Another App...'
Chris, there is no change command. I tried open with and nothing. I think somewhere on this forum there is a solution. Thanks
You don't have this? Been in every version of Windows that I can remember.

if you mean you cannot see the thumbnail of the content in the icon, then if what Chris suggests does not work you might need to purge [clean up] the windows thumbnail cache; it is possible that pro + still has 'ownership' of the thumbnails which is a registry thing and purging the cache should fix it [will reset all the thumbnails] see here:

Thanks Chris, did it but no change. Will try Handrawn.
Reinstalled xara again. Wish the interface setup would remain the same. How hard is it to program it so :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:
This will not help you right now but it might be useful for a future (re-)installation. Perhaps you're familiar with XaReg. The latest version is 2.5 but an older version has a feature by which you can save the settings. It's not perfect (that's why it was dropped in later versions) but it helps when having to re-customize your setup from scratch. See attached .zip file.
Make a screenshot of your customized UI and save so that you can reference it when necessary
Download and unzip the attached XaReg1.4 .zip file
Keep it somewhere safe
Make sure your Xara app is closed
Double click the utility icon (there is no installation)
Select File/Save/Settings
A dialog will ask you where to save the .txt file containing the relevant registry settings.
Done.
When you need to restore your customized settings, close your Xara app, open XaReg and select File/Load/Settings. A dialog will ask you to select the .txt file you saved earlier. Close XaReg and start your Xara app. The UI will now resemble more or less your originally customized version. Use the screenshot as a further guide. As said, it's not perfect but it might save some time in re-customizing your setup in the future.
Thanks Boy, I will book mark this for any future use.
