Re: Could someone make this image 3D and spin please?!
briso, I too asked that question not too long ago and Soquili provided this answer, which worked like a charm:
Bob, put two shapes on one page. Apply one texture to one and the other gets the other texture. Then insert a page break between the two shapes. Trying to apply textures with the page break in place applies one texture to both objects.
It drove me nuts (that's my current excuse for being nuts ) before I figured out to texture then split into pages.
Re: Could someone make this image 3D and spin please?!
how do i go about putting two shapes on 1 page?
cheers

Hi, Drifter,
yes, the dots at the corners also extrude with the square they are part of, as it is a single shape. You normally only need two opposite corners, rather than four, and when you want these sizing pixels, it is better to have all objects in the image use them, and to make them far enough beyond the actual boundary of the largest object, so that you can crop them from the final image in XaraXtreme without touching the main image.
Sometimes it is possible to use other objects as the outer boundary, when those parts have larger extrusions. A good example was my spinning engine from a few years ago. There are four parts, including the main body. The main body has a deeper extrusion than any of the other parts, so all the other parts can be added to it, and the added body will be invisible, buried inside the deep one.

Re: Could someone make this image 3D and spin please?!
Briso, you can import additional shapes into a page as long as you have the cursor on (Click the a|b button). While the cursor shows, new shapes will be added at the cursor position. If no cursor is present, any new shape will replace the whole page, losing you any shapes already present. The same applies to adding textures. If you hvae the cursor at one side of an object, then press the arrow key to move the cursor to the other side of the object, while holding down shift, the object will be highlighted. When highlighted, only that shape will take any changes you make to texture, colour, bevel etc.

Mike, I don't understand how I get rid of (crop?) the square outlines.

Returned after a few days of relaxation and thought I'd have a go at the Stalybridge logo.

That's exactly what I was trying to do Bill. Good job. I'm almost able to do that.
