November 2013 - Tips and Tricks - Putting Grunge Text on a 3D Wall
Putting Grunge Text on a 3D Wall
Attachment 99539
Bob Taylor (iamtheblues) builds on his tutorials on camouflage pattern making and vector grunge effects and on Gary Bouton's August displacement mapping tutorial to make grungy text look like it has weathered in place, for years on end, on an old corrugated steel wall. He takes you though making the wall and then fitting the text using Xara's Shape tool so it lays convincingly on the undulating surface and not hovering awkwardly above it. Learn More…
Show us how you integrate text, grungy or clean, convincingly into a 3D scene using these tips. And be sure to thank Grungemaster Bob for sharing his tips and tricks with us all.
