I need even stroke shapes, regardless of the length of the lines.
Is there any way to make them
just like the fake lines after the red arrows?

Reinhard, you can in XDPX.
You would create an oval, form a Scatter Brush and adjust the overlap.
This seems to always produce whole shapes along the line.
You would need to abut the end shapes separately.

I have done this workaround, but you dont get a real wave.
you get sharp edges at the overlapping.
better to use 45° rotate squares and than convert line to shape
and convert all edges to round and all lines to curves. (or or vice versa)
but if you have maaaaany lines this is hard to control a needs lot CPU power.
better would be ... see first post.

Stroke shapes, dashed lines, both need some rethinking and refinement.
Reinhard, Create an oval (or other shape).
Use Smart Duplicate and pull out your line with the ovals overlapping.
Add Shapes (Ctrl+1).
With the Shape Tool, select all nodes and pick Smooth Join (S).
If you need to later extend the line, it is more tricky.
Clone enough segments to fit the new line with one bead overlap.
I have used 0pt Line width and Outline view quality for this.
You then need to Intersect All and delete all the overlaps.
Finally Add Shapes again.
I have even tried this will skewed triangles and the outcome keeps all vertices smooth.

I don't know if you have XDPX but with Smart Duplicate and Add shapes, it is quite speedy to design, create and alter.
