How to embed code in <HEAD> Tag
Hello,
I am trying to implement Kampyle Feedback form on my website. I have signed up, however they say this :
3. Get the Code
Important: Embedding the codes is essential for getting feedback!
Copy and paste the code into your website inside <head> tag: This code is responsible for the Feedback Form's CSS as well as for the floating window that actively asks the users for feedback.
---------
How to I paste the code inside Head tag, if I made a website using XWD 6 ?
Thank you. :) I am illiterate in Coding :(
Re: How to embed code in <HEAD> Tag
Create a rectangle, the size is not important.
With the rectangle selected, click the yellow tag icon on the Infobar.
Name the rectangle <HEAD>, click Add then click Close.
With the rectangle still selected, open Website Properties > Placeholder. Copy and paste the code in the Replace with HTML Code text entry box.
Press Apply.
Place the placeholder rectangle off the page.
The placeholder automatically adds the code each time you publish your website.
Re: How to embed code in <HEAD> Tag
Thanks :)
I checked again and they have one more code. :D
And they said this ...
Copy and paste the code into your website immediately before the </body> tag:
This code is responsible for displaying the Feedback Form button on your website
-I tried the same method for this as well, but its not working. :(
The code is for a feedback button which should sit on the corner of the browser. Just like the button on the corner in their website. http://www.kampyle.com/
Re: How to embed code in <HEAD> Tag
I think you should put it in the 'tracker code' field in Web Properties :)
Re: How to embed code in <HEAD> Tag
The second bit of code goes in the <BODY> section and so does not need a name. Just a plain unnamed placeholder.

See attached :) You can also right-click to get the Names dialogue box
Re: How to embed code in <HEAD> Tag
Hi John and thanks for that.
I have used that option for naming objects when creating flash animations, and thought it might be the case.
I just follwed the instructions to the letter and cannot get the code to appear in the <HEAD> tag?
I created a rectangle, named it, added my meta tags to placeholder, saved the doc, published the doc...Still no change??
Am i missing something perhaps?
Cheers.
Nick
Ok so i have been a bit of a wally here !!! I named the rectangle <HEAD> in caps, when i renamed it <head> in lower case, all was well........sorry guys :o
Re: How to embed code in <HEAD> Tag
Glad you got it to work :D

That is a really valuable discovery. It probably has to do with the server. Some servers have a problem with anything in caps or initial caps. So lower case is probably always the best way to go.
If you name your index file Index.html or INDEX.HTML many browsers will not automatically load the file.
