morris, thank you. I opened it several times and was going to create a blank RTF and compare.
Saved me the bother.

@All, a time back I enquired into MagiXara's position on GDPR, EU data protection legal stuff, and failed to get an answer.
The "answer" has been hidden in the licence.rtf / licence.txt files in the Xara install directory (e.g., C:\Program Files\Xara\Xara Designer Pro X\15\).
There are two parts to the document: XARA PRIVACY POLICY (1) and XARA DESIGNER PRO X END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT ("EULA") (2).
The first is what Xara learns about you. The second what you can do with the Xara Desktop application.
For example - (2) - C. TERM:Personally, the red bit is worrisome.Quote:
If you are using the trial version of the Software then any rights to use the Software or images created with it terminates with the expiration of the trial period.
(2) - D. UPDATE SERVICE:It is not clear if re-installing a downloaded version younger that your purchased one will be properly registered again.Quote:
It will therefore terminate if you re-install the software after the Update Service has lapsed, and you will fall back to the version of the software at the date of your initial purchase and registration, or the date of last renewal if that is more recent.
(2) - G. RESTRICTIONS: read over the penultimate paragraph on font substitution. Did you know this?
Remarkedly, only really pages 25-28 cover the licence.
The Xara Desktop applications use more third party software that is listed.
By far, the scariest detail is lying in (1).
There is, however, no mention on how to block Advertising appearing on opening the Xara Desktop application, a frustration to many.
Bet you didn't know about Newsletter tracking pixels.
My next question to Xara is what happens after Brexit? Noting Xara is Xara GmbH.
