What in the name of Gosh Darn It All is a Giveaway popping up between Xara Xone episodes? Well, call it a 4th of July gift to our American friends, call it Gary got bored with his laptop in the hospital, call it Fred…just call it a wonderful collection of unusual but exciting anyways seamless tiling textures. I guess I'll go first!
I traced off an extruded QuickShape and then used the brushed aluminum bitmap. Then I used the Photo Tool's Levels feature to modulate the tone of each side, just like the untextured extrude.

It's one of the planets around Betelgeuse.
How on earth did you manage to get such a great representation?!

Thank you, Rik.
I used a pre-decimal version of Paintshop Pro to spherize the texture and in XDP I applied a dark orange contone.
Then I used both the FX Bump Map filters, (why are there two of them?) with the settings dialled up to 11 or so.
Then Flaming Pear's Glitterato Filter for the cool space background.
