Include file in my template????
I just downloaded Westyle. So I'm very new to this....
Made a nav bar, saved it as a .html file and made it as a link <!--#include file="../includes/menu/inc_menu.html" --> into my basic template (Dreamweaver CS3)
BUT, it doesn't show? I can see the content when viewing the file seperately, but not when it is as an include file!
Does anybody know the solution to this?
Please... Helle :-)
Re: Include file in my template????
Helle I do not believe linking that way will work.
Download and install the dreamweaver extension for Webstyle. This will allow you to use the Dreamweaver Insert menu to open Webstyle to create or load a previously created menu. When you save and exit Webstyle the menu graphics and supporting javascript files will be written to your Dreamweaver project.

Hi Soquili
Hmm, weird. I doubleclicked the exe file - and it said ok....
But I cannot see the extension, nor in the Extension Manager?
Am I looking in all the wrong places?
I use Dreamweaver CS3 and Vista Ultimate

Re: Include file in my template????
Helle which .exe are you double clicking, the Dreamweaver extension?
After it is installed you find it in Dreamweaver in the Insert Menu.
You must NOT have Dreamweaver or Webstyle open when you install the extension.
Re: Include file in my template????
Okay.... tried to run the exe file again ( xaradwext.exe ) - but it doesn't show anywhere? Does the exe file need to be somewhere specific?

Re: Include file in my template????
Hi Helle,
The xaradwext.exe does not need to be anywhere specific.
In Vista you need to right click the file name instead of double click. From the popup menu select Run as administrator. (or you could disable UAC in Vista). Microsoft advises not to disable UAC, but I find no real value to having UAC enabled.

Re: Include file in my template????
Helle the problem you mention was happening to some other people and the following link contains several posts that resulted in a fix.

I have my preferences on the forums to display 20 posts per page. If you are using the default number of posts, you may have to read through more posts to get to posts #27 plus to the end and the fix.

Bill, how does one go about changing that? I can't find the option to do so.

Re: Include file in my template????
Hi Bob,
It is in the User Control Panel > Edit Options > Display Options.
