Test site pages transferred to live site question
I have a small test site that I experiment with. I also have a live site which is on another account.
If I have an entire new presentation on the 'test' site .. lets call that site A. I want to move all pages to the live site without starting the whole process again.
Would I just upload site A, and write over anything on the live site.
Im sorry if this sounds confusing. Basically it's the transference of an entire site, without interruption to another address.
Thanks in advance,
Bill

Bill, just uploading is fully possible but you will have fragments of the old mixed in with the new. No real problem there but it is cleaner to use the Xara Explore web space and delete everything in the current site then publish the new one. Some find using a separate FTP program simpler.

In addition to Acorn's solution, you could also use an ftp such as Filezilla and log into your host and copy all of the files in the test site to the folder for the live site (usually public_html). Saves on having to reupload.

Disadvantage of bkjohn's approach is that you cannot do a quick update (replacing only edited contents) from within Xara afterwards.
