Made a small animation in Blender, rendered the jpg sequence and opened it with Ulead's Gif Animator. It's pretty handy for compressing, resizing and eliminating extra frames. Anybody needs a rotating heart, feel free to grab this. Use it any way you like. Happy Valentine's Day http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif.

GM, what is Blender? Is it a program or a filter used within? That's a really NICE looking heart!! I like that thin edge it displays as it roatates.

Blender
It's an open source 3d application. I use PI to make textures and clean up the renders I make with it. It also renders animations or sequencial images, but cannot do animated gif directly, so I use Ulead's gif animator for that. If you're feeling adventurous, download it and give it a try http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif.
Visit this board's 3d forum if you're stuck. That's the first thing I did when I started exploring 3d. Lots of helpful people there. Gidgit will probably convert you to Wings. It's another freeware 3d modeller and a great companion to Blender.

Thanks for the info! Will take a peek and see what it's all about. I'm not really into doing 3D but love to see it. I have Ulead's Cool 3d but always found it difficult to work with.
