I like the results, but how did you do it? [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif[/img]
I just had a bo-peep at this and:
- type text
- bevel
- copy
- blend between original and copy

You only need a 1 px bevel. In addition I posted the original non-bevel on the top.

Using the bevel to create highlites in the "extrude" is a very cool idea indeed Tony!! I tried different blend steps and varying distances. I found that the results are inconsisted when blending on a path. The bevel is essentially an object filled with a "tiled" bitmap of the bevel itself which was generated on the fly... uuuuh, I think that's correct [img]/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif[/img] (sort of). The results reflect this. The vector information is sustained in the original "unbeveled" portion of the object, but the bevel ends up looking fractured along the path. Hi ivca,
the bevel is fractured only if the settings of the initial and the final object are of different nature (an example round end line and other, or different kind of transparency, ...).
But you must check separately your object and the bevel (selecting it separately with Ctrl+Click) for these settings.

Interestingly, when you blend, the bevel fill tiles.
