you would still be beholden to magix maintaining the activation servers - or next time the program checked it would stop working
All base versions are currently version 18.
Xara called its initial Pro+ version, 20.
One could speculate that by the time Magix v19 runs out, this might be the end.
Others could assume that there will be a global shift in version numbering or even Magix stops at this point.
I think that instead there is going to be a car crash.

or as with other offerings by magix it just stops and they offer their final version for evermore 'the end' as you say
well with their current pricing of upgrade it might be heading that way. %60 percent off with bunch of other offers included seems very reasonable to upgrade for now.
