Covert Xara Web site to a WordPress Theme for a Blog
While doing some research on the forum about blogging and Xara, I came across a post that said you could run your main Xara Website in your main folder and have your blog in sub folder with a link on your Website to the blog folder. This got me to thinking about being able to convert the main page of the Website into a theme for the blog so that the blog would have the exact same look and feel as the main Website.
I looked at a couple of converters that I found on line, like XT-CMS but I am really not sure if this the way to go. Has anybody looked at doing this type of conversion before and what route did you use?
Thanks
Ray

Ray, I believe another TGer uses Pinegrow for designing WordPress themes. This approaches has seemed to be the least painless that I've encountered,

Here's a video about intergrating a Wordpress Blog into a Serif Webplus website. Most of the editing is done in Wordpress, background colour, header and menu. It should be quite simple using this method to work in your Xara site.

You really are wasting your time with this. WordPress is based on themes which are not fixed size and are made to skin the WordPress system.
Better to edit an existing WordPress theme to match the site. You won't be able to make a theme from the Xara site directly.

Thanks for the responses.
Egg, that video really shows what I was thinking about doing and it layouts a fairly easy way to do what Pauland had suggested.
thanks again
