Undocumented Feature - Name of htmlblocktext
Dear Xara...
There are times when I need to use the Name htmlblocktext to manipulate my text line or text block as a DIV and not a collection of SPANs.
I find that if I have a single line of text as a Text Line, the last word wraps to a new line, regardless of the available line length.
It does not wrap if I append a blank to the last word. This misaligns right- & middle-centred text needlessly.
Can this be rectified.

Can you send me an example of this happening as I can't seem to replicate?
Thanks

This is rather confusing, as whilst I can see it in your example I can't replicate this behaviour, even copying your text into a new text area and applying htmlblocktext again to it.
For some reason the aspect ratio of your text has changed? If the text is all selected and 100% re-applied it exports normally?

Rob, the Normal Test+ was an oversight on my part and is only on the Text Areas. So, by fluke, it seems there is another feature at large here.
I still have the two fails for a Text Line and a Text column.

Egg, thank you for your experiments and confirmation of the strange behaviours.
I have a workaround for Text Line and Text Column (add a trailing Space) and never use a Text Area for a single line.
It really needs Xara to rectify and to document htmlblocktext Name usage in the Help; it has been part of the Xara Desktop application versions for aeons.

Totally agree Acorn. Definitely not intuitive .
