This was covered in the Xtreme Forum when Xara Xtreme 4.0 was released.
If you rotate the Extruded shape to a point where the face is no longer shown. Use the dropdown list in the Infobar to select Angle 1 and then use the slider to rotate the shape.
Not a bug but a design necessity due to how Extrusions are displayed in a 2D environment.
When this happens, it means there is no front face visible. To restore the front face you can toggle off and on the 3D button (see below) at the top of the workspace.
Saludos,
Bob.
Tried to repeat the bug and yes I got it as well it refused to rotate and it left an artefact on the screen. Once I moved the object which was on the same orientation as your the artefact disappeared and I then could rotate the object again. This is using XPro ver.4 so we did have problems before with stray artefacts using older version of programme. What I mean by a stray artefact is a selection node, black square.
OK, thanks all.
@Soquili: With your Tipp i can good live, but in my eyes this is a little bug;)
Hi CMONE,
It can be a 'bug' when things do not work as you expect. :)
I will lock this thread now as the issue has been identified and the current way the feature is implemented is working correctly.
The Xara development team can view the post and determine if changes can or should be made.
