Can a selection be converted into a shape?

Hi,

If I create a selection (created with region painter tool/rectangle region tool) be converted into a shape?

Yes. But it is not direct.

Copy the selection. (Copy Using Mask)

Then Paste > Paste Clipped Photo

With the pasted clipped photo object still selected, switch to the Photo Tool, and from the Fill Type drop down menu, select Flat Fill.

I just think you meant <Fill Tool> in "switch to the <Fill Tool>, and from the Fill Type drop down menu, select Flat Fill."
