Website to check on account information
This is a simple question I hope. I remember in the past that there was a Xara website that I could go to to get information on my account. ie. versions of Xara Xtreme purchased, when etc.
I am trying to resurrect my CD of Xara Xtreme 5 since it has no serial number on the box. My earlier copies all do have numbers on their boxes, and I do not have a CD reader on my computer.
Sorry, if this is not the right forum.
Erik
Re: Website to check on account information
I think you can still go here https://www.magix.com/us/support/my-service-center/ though Magix and Xara I believe have agreed to go their own ways.
Re: Website to check on account information
gary's link works fine
when the data was transfered from xara servers to magix, way back when, some of the older program data was lost - there are no serial numbers in my account for programs before version 7
I recall some of the early versions had serial numbers on the back of the CD box, and some inside, worth checking if you have not already done so
if your serial number is not in the account, or you cannot access it, you can contact magix here: infoservice@magix.net
although xara have taken back responsibility for the programs themselves, magix still have responsibility for the site AFAIK, but if you need to you, can contact xara via chat on their website....
if the serial number has been lost you may need your registration email and purchase details to recover it....

I have the same problem. All my early Xara boxes have serial numbers stuck on the back. Version 5 does not. Not inside either.
Magix did not have me in their system. So I set up a fresh account which, of course did not have any of my previous account details. I have never dealt with Majix before now so I'll try and contact a human in either Majix or Xara.
If no success I'll probably toss the all the Xara versions and go over to Inkscape. I would like to remain with Xara though - maybe misplaced loyalty to a brand that gave me a lot of pleasure in the early days.
Registration email and purchase details are long gone. We're talking 20 odd years or so.
