Re: Mobile Navigation Menu
Hi Egg, I tried your hamburger-menu navbar and the menu on page 1 (home page) was not working whereas the page 2 and 3 were, so I looked at the layers gallery for page 1 and noticed that the navbar group was on the pasteboard background layer, so I moved it to the mouse off layer and all is good. Thank you for the sample

Re: Mobile Navigation Menu
How odd. I've downloaded it three times now and it works fine and all the buttons are on the mouse-off layers. :(

Re: Mobile Navigation Menu
Odder still. Your attachment has all buttons and text on the mouse-off layer on all three pages!!!
Re: Mobile Navigation Menu
Hi Egg, get ready for this, I tried it on a different computer and all is good, wow!!! need to move on but there is one difference between each computer, the computer that reads the file ok is a 64 bit while the one that was reading a problem is a 32 bit, this is out of my league

Great menu method and just what I am looking for. I ran it and then created all the pages (5) but I cannot seem to get it to work on the other pages I figured I should copy and paste the menu bar icon to each page rather than repeat it. The I coppied the menu layer to each page and assigned each link but it doesn't like it spurious things are happening. Am I supposed to be creating a Navigation menu using the Tool? Perhaps you could put a version up with an extra page linked to the menu so I can work it out please. I am using Xara Web Designer Premium 16.2.0.56957 DL x64 Jun 5 2019

Re: Mobile Navigation Menu
badgersurfer - I think you need to create the pages first. Then create your menu on a new layer, and link the buttons.
Then select all the buttons, right click, and Repeating > Repeat on All Pages.
In my example, I have placed a pale gray rectangle behind the buttons to hide the content under the buttons. The rectangle can be the same color as the page and it can also have some transparency.
Make sure the button text is grouped with the button shape.

Re: Mobile Navigation Menu
You may find the examples here helpful for the future; the principle uses 'same style buttons' across desktop and mobile variants The XAR example (16.2 : 64bit) uses the new Web Export option of 'Scale-to-Fit Width' to smooth the transition between the desktop and mobile variants.
I use the example XAR to test different options before implementing them on a target site. For simplicity though, 'Mobile web II' in the above post might be the best first time option.
