Re: V10 Web Designer Premium Installation folder may be damaged
Bunkermentality, I am sorry to hear no progress from Xara with your problem getting your existing product to work.
I have checked your provide link and Xara still don't have a login section showing.
Perhaps support are all sitting round saying it's quiet here?
You flag up MX as your product here in TG but mention Web Designer 10 Premium.
Let's guess you chose the wrong installation file from:
Can you check and download the right one for your machine?
Next, if this downloads all right, run it and if you get to a position to select Custom, do so.
My suggestion is to change the default Xara folder to another location and try that.
Good luck,
Acorn

Gary. Did you have any success in raising this with Xara? I've not received any updates on this.
No. Let me try again. Monday and all.

Re: V10 Web Designer Premium Installation folder may be damaged
Acord, Thanks for your reply.
My product is Web Designer 10 Premium. I'm not sure how MX got flagged.
I have downloaded the latest copy of both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions. Both fail. My Win10 is 64bit. I have just uninstalled WD10P, deleted all Xara folders, reinstalled to a custom folder, and still get the same error.
This error originally started when I attempted to launch my previous installation. I had not explicitly applied any updates.
I am able to install this on another PC that runs Win10 64bit. Unfortunately that isn't my work PC.

Gary. Thanks again for your assistance. Xara contacted me direct and a solution is found. Excellent.
Re: V10 Web Designer Premium Installation folder may be damaged
Can you share the solution so if someone else has the same problem we will all know (if we can remember) the fix? Thanks.
Re: V10 Web Designer Premium Installation folder may be damaged
The suggested fix was to try a non-standard folder. This didn't work so an upgrade to V11 was suggested and this worked first time.
