Hello friends!
I'm glad to see the forum is still alive (barely -- I know). But most of you are still here. Thanks for sticking around.
For those who are curious: Yes, my trip to Louisville was wonderful. My grandmother and other family members are all well. The weather was surprisingly warm (farenheit --- lows in 50s highs in the 70s --- we were blessed with beautiful weather).
And the trees. . . ohhh the trees were perfect. The foliage was turning colors and I saw the gorgeous Louisville red maple leaves, other trees' leaves that had a soft diagonal blend from peach to yellow, beautiful shades of peach, orange, red and yellow everywhere ( I felt really blessed I didn't have to rake the stuff ).
I saw a maple leaf that was red with up to a half cm wide band (unevenly painted by God or mother nature herself) of even darker red along the outer edges of the maple leaf. just wonderful. Didn't press any leaves. just tried to impress them in my memory. (also tried to capture the colors on my VHS-C camcorder. . . from what my view screen showed I didn't succeed -- tried to change all the light settings no luck. will have to see how the pics come up on the vcr --- and my ati vid card)
Thought I'd share the moments with y'all.
Thanks again for the kind wishes
Athena

Athena,
Welcome back! Your trip and the description of Autumn leaves was wonderful.
Maybe you can bring your photos into Painter and, with memories planted firmly in your brain, do some color adjustments. I'd love to see the leaves.
Thanks for sharing part of your trip with us.
