Yeah, I got the same thing too. Magix servers?
But, why does the programme have to rely upon Xara/Magix servers?
What is it that needs checking?
It's not a cloud based programme, so, why?
Because in the old version, when there was an update to the templates, Xara would overwrite catindex.txt and if they got that wrong, it would delete everything you had in your local cache.
Being Xara, it has kept this naff code but routes things through its servers as well. So you can expect a double whammy when Xara fluffs it.
Crippling a Desktop application to get more revenue seems to be the game plan.
