Hieroglyphs in stone (Designer Pro X)
I have several bitmaps of Egyptian Hieroglyphics in stone that I use for stereogram patterns but none I am thrilled with. So I decided to create my own.
I started with a vector piece of clip art from Shutterstock.com I made a bitmap from the pattern and applied it to my panel shape.
I used the Color Editor to change the colors.
Then in Designer Pro X > Photo Tool FX (because this feature does not exist in Pro+) I applied an FX > Stylization > Emboss filter to create the carved in stone look.
I placed a bitmap of rough stone over the embossed image and then applied a Flat > Overlay transparency.

Very nicely done. I am surprised how well that embros filter worked to give the craved looked from just a two color picture.
This is what I like about this forum, it is finding out how other people do things because I would never of tried this on my own.

But it can also be a stand out feature. And yes, this is probably the main reason I still have Pro X.

you canont have a press out without a corresponding press in, 'tis ying and yang - it's a pity about the magix FX ...
