Mike - I'm not sure what protocol Xara uses, but I suspect it is not SFTP. The ability to upload using SFTP depends on the web host. Some hosts support it others don't. My web host Network Solution charges extra for the service.
As far as I know none of Xara's applications have SFTP capability.
As Gary mentioned not all web hosts support that protocol and may charge extra for it.
