Re: mailto: does not work
Hi Behzad, your link works fine for me in chrome and IE
Ciao

Re: mailto: does not work
I don't know what's the matter in this particular case but the mailto command/link has its drawbacks. Many people, like me, use webmail and don't have a dedicated email client installed. So, when I click your link nothing happens in Chrome. In FF I get a dialog that tells me "This link needs to be opened with an application."
To avoid this issue, often contact forms are used or else just an email address is given that you can copy and then paste it into the browser.
In the end, all of these solutions have their drawbacks.
Re: mailto: does not work
Boy that is a good point. I have now used a form instead. Thanks Roly.
Re: mailto: does not work
I am not sure how you are setting up the mailto:
I just enter the email address in the Link > URL box and Xara does the rest.
Re: mailto: does not work
hmmm, i put mailto:emailaddress@yahoo.com
Maybe that is why. I will try again. Thanks
2min later, still the same. It is my clients godaddy server. When on mine (which is also godaddy) it triggers the email application but not on hers.
Here is my server works fine LINK
Re: mailto: does not work
can someone create a file for me so I can upload to client hosting to see if it is the servers or something I am doing wrong?

Re: mailto: does not work
The link works fine in Chrome and I tried it on my iPhone and it works fine.
A neat little trick is you can add to the email link. For example email@ersatz.com/?subject=Automatically adding a Subject opens the visitors email problem and add the subject line to the email.
Re: mailto: does not work
Thank you Gary. The problem is at my end of chrome. Well the safest is to make a form for emails.
Re: mailto: does not work
Yes, not everyone has an email client/program
