When I select a photo, Xara puts blue-and-white dashed lines around it.
Is there a way to get rid of the dashed lines, and just have the little corner and mid-line boxes showing, like Xara used to do?Attachment 129359

It's an 'improvement' that Xara has added and in my opinion it's a wate of time. I believe there was a registery hack but whether that still works I don't know.
What happens if you export the mage, does the blue line still show?
The line you refer to is a bounding box and allows various manipulations of the image.
Hi Jon, hope you are well.
Yes, changing the registry setting does still work, reverting things back to the previous style selectors.
I can’t find the original post from Xara who first told us how to do it, but the registry setting you need to find is ‘Options/Selector tool/ShowXCBounds’ and change the value from 1 to 0.
Thanks HD for finding that link.
Yes, good one Steve. I looked in that registry section but missed the ShowXCBoundsBlobs option.
Thanks all! The blue lines are GONE! You know, I was THIS CLOSE to uninstalling Xara and going back to an older version.
Next, we'll worry about popup ads -- but I'll find that on another thread, I'm sure. Thanks so much for your help!!!
