Colour regions within overlapping closed shapes
I do apologise if this is something i should really know.
If I have 2 overlapping circles, how can I colour the 3 resulting regions?
The same question applies to any number of overlapping circles or other closed shapes.
I have read some posts about drawing lines, turning them into shapes, subtracting them from a background shape, breaking that shape, then colouring the various regions and can make that work but I haven't discovered how to do the equivalent with closed shapes.
I do appreciate your help.

Re: Colour regions within overlapping closed shapes
you can try selecting the two cicles and using slice [ctrl+4] - that will give you three shapes you can colour separately...but that is only satisfactoy in a simple case
if you want to break a shape that is closed - remove the fill and then use arrange menu 'convert line to shape' on it and you can then break it....
edit - sorry that should be intersect all shapes [ctrl+5]

Thank you very much. That is perfect.
