Any way to disable drop copy?

When I am on the selector tool and right click on selected item, if there is any movement at all it creates a copy and is testing my nerves. I am using a tablet so right clicking with my stylus without any movement isn't easy to do.

A few thngs I've noticed. In the Utilities>Options>Mouse>drop down menu> pop up, seems to be tied to this copy behavior because if I remove pop up, it no longer copies on click drag. Obviously I want the pop up menu. This just seemed odd. Also in XaReg under mouse I noticed "click while drag created a single copy" which mine isn't checked. So guess that program won't help.

Any one know a way to completly break this "feature" so I can right click the pop up menu without duplicating every other try?

I don't think this is possible. It's not a feature I ever use apart from accidental usage. It would be great if you could disable it, as even with a mouse I regularly get unintended copies.

I also occasionally make unwanted extra copies when using a tablet and pen, but isn't it strange, because for me 'click drag copying' is just about the most useful and intuitive feature Xara has, and one I wish all graphics apps would adopt.

Have you tried adjusting any of your tablet pen settings? Things like the sensitivity of the pen click distance etc to see if you can get a more happy balance.

Something else to try, is how you hold your pen. I've been using graphics tablets for years and didn't consciously realise this until just now, but I actually rest my middle finger (finger 3) on the surface of the tablet to add stability, control and support. It's quite a different grip to how I normally hold a writing pen.

This one I have been bitching for a long time. I hate it. I asked if Xara can provide a short key for the rightclick to open the menu, not aware that there is such a thing. I hate this so much. Why Xara does not facilitate such feature?

me too - this and the double click to switch tools - just too easy to accidently do these things, be much better if they were optional

The only way is not to move your pen and keep your hand steady. I feel like I am doing surgery for God sake.
