Hello at any time of the day :))
Recently i made the update and a strange problem occurred... The cursor ist not working any more, not able to choose any objects but stays in mode of "guides"... no object can be clicked and any time when i click only a guide is appearing....
Any ideas what i am doing wrong???? or this is kind of a bug???

Try pressing Ctrl+L to hide the Ruler.
Does the cursor change?
Click on some of the Tools on the sidebar.
Press Alt+S twice does the Tool switch to the selector Tool and back and in doing so does the cursor change?
The only other suggestion is to Reset your Control Bars.

:))) thanks... but nothing helps.... weird problem.... before update all was ok...
Looks to me like your working in the guides layer whilst the other layer/s is set to locked (See attached image). Check your page & layer gallery and ensure layers under the guide layer are editable.
actually that was my thought also... but doesnt helped...
after short reconsideration - the program was removed and installed again... so far after all updates is working fine... we will see further... thanks to all that responded to my problem!
So... a small update... after some playing around i can update the following behavior - after the update old file can be opened and you work with them normally. As far as you open a new tab - and you try to change the document to website - the program "crashes" and you are not able to work with it further normal...
I contacted the support of XARA - i am really curious what will they say....
