long text descriptions for wowslider etc - filename is only option?
Hi all you helpful and patient gurus, yet another really dim query - in trying to convert my very ancient website, I am now creating galleries with wowslider but cannot see how to add long text other than by renaming the photo file itself with the sentence - which works but seems clunky. If curious, the original page is still online as yet - https://www.shd-archzoo.co.uk/gallery.html The third one (taphonomy) has the long descriptions (on hover and along the bottom of the enlarged image). Have also yet to work out exactly how to do the multiple galleries bit - assume similar with each of the 'thumbs' linking to a separate wowslider page, only I plan to do them down the left this time so as to offer more. Am I on the right lines here please?
Re: long text descriptions for wowslider etc - filename is only option?
I have an older version at the moment as I am switching MS Windows accounts and each program has its own registration quirks.
After adding images, I have a skinny set of images on the left of the build screen.
If you select one, you will see the Title of the selected image. The description (Caption) input box is the unlabelled one to the right.
Type something into this and in your live preview you will see both the Title and Caption appear; either can be changed form the original filename.

Hi Solent,
I've not used Wow Slider in a long while. Is it still included with Xara? Perhaps this could help:

Egg, WOW Slider has never been part of the Xara delivery.

Jeeezz! why on earth didn't they label that box! thankyou so much - yet again! it is a pity their 'help' is negligible (with the free version anyway) but hey it is free!
