Error opening New document

Thanks, Xara team. Dl'd/installed flawlessly.
However, I had the Introduction template on screen and when I clicked on the NEW icon on top I got this error msg.:
Internal Program Error 511.k.pu.op

Did the error message pop up immediately after clicking the New icon?

Have you tried using the File Menu > New and selecting one of the blank page templates?

Yes, immediately, and then the error msg cont'd to popup no matter what I clicked on until I closed the prg and restarted it, then all was well.
I am having trouble with getting a template from the designs gallery. It states to double click a thumbnail to open that template as a new document. This doesn't work. And which thumbnail do you use to open the entire (multiple pages) template? The drag/drop thumbnail works, but doesn't add the template to the current page, rather makes a new page after the first blank one.
Perhaps we need a different thread for this kind of stuff, eh?

This is very strange. That error indicates that the code that periodically updates the FTP upload progress indicator is failing to find the FTP progress info. This isn't surprising as there shouldn't be any except when an FTP publish is happening. What is strange is that the code to update the dialog shouldn't be being called at all unless there is a publish in progress.

Are you sure you didn't do anything other than click on "new document" when the error first happened?

I cannot duplicate the problem anymore. With the Introduction template open and I click on the NEW icon it works as expected.
Go figure.
Gerry, no. Just did what I stated here: had the Introduction template open and then clicked on the NEW icon and the error msg popped up.

I got the same 511 .k.pu.op after I published my site. It keeps popping up every time I click on a object. Also when I try to save the file and exit. The site published ok. After restarting and another publish I could not replicate the error message.
