Hi,

Have started on the tutorial but can you explain what the symnbols under 8 mean? I have designer pro x 10 and searched for them on the buttonpalette but the symbols that appear to belong under the arrange-combine shapes option are greyed out.
When I select the blend and access the arrange-come shapes the only available option is add shapes. The break shapes is also greyed out.

Bob, excuse me for butting into your thread.

The first button stands for Arrange>Convert to Editable shapes (Ctrl+Shift+S). The second is Ungroup (Ctrl+U).

Apologies for not contributing sooner. I bought a new Dell PC the other day and it has taken a while to get it set up and working properly
(problems with windows 8.1 which wouldn't let me either install or uninstall programs. Had to get the Dell team to talk me through it.
It would have been easier if my technical Spanish was better, but we got there in the end).
Apologies also for confusing everyone with the wrong icons.
Thanks to Gare for the great presentation on the Xone. Love the 3D fish.

Bob thanks that is great idea to have tutorials without words, it can not be compared to Gare's 3D fish but the try led me to this :)

Thanks Stygg, well probably you know the feeling that it is never known where Xara leads by the end of the weekend :) Started with Bob's fish on Saturday that is sure, once of course tried to extrude, then searched some other fishes to trace a bit, then started to think about opacity masks and put the metal fish to the hook

Probably that led then to do also keyrings yet, but finally reached Sunday evening so until next weekend no further graphic adventures :)
